SHADOW Apex FLEX is a modular chest rig system developed for those who need to adapt their load carriage system to specific equipment and tasks.
The modular side panels, SHADOW Wing, available in four different sizes, can be swapped via hook-and-loop, allowing you to adjust the system’s configuration and capacity as needed. The H/X-harness provides a stable fit, while the elastic section between the shoulder blades follows the body's movements. On the inside of the harness, against the torso, are two elastic pockets.
The front panel consists of a FLEX Core placard and features six rows of MOLLE. The side panels have two to five MOLLE rows on both the inside and outside. The Cordura MOLLEtex 500/500 laminate construction combines low weight with high durability. The system uses buckles from 2M and metal triglides from OnlyPrecision. Mesh on the underside of the harness contributes to ventilation and comfort.
The harness is supplied with extra-long straps to accommodate different body sizes and load configurations. Once the harness has been adjusted, the excess strap is cut and the strap ends are seared to prevent fraying.
